2021 Season Update

7 Dec, 2021

7 Dec, 2021

Oh boy, we’re bracing ourselves for a bumper season this year!

Sandy and I always approach year-end Season with mixed feelings: excitement and gratitude for the hike in revenue but also with absolute terror at the thought of being so completely overwhelmed.

We’ve navigated two year-end Seasons now at Oak Leaf Café and hopefully, our third will be “third time lucky”. This year, we’ll apply our lessons learned from the previous two Seasons:

  • Increase our kitchen staff (welcome to Kyra)
  • Reduce the menu during peak Season – with fewer dishes on offer, the kitchen team can better prepare and streamline their production
  • Increase our front-of-house staff (welcome Sania & Jade)
  • Extend our hours to open at 08:30am and close at 3pm to give you more time to enjoy your experience at Oak Leaf Café.

We’ll launch our reduced year-end Season Menu mid-December 2021 and run with it until mid-January 2022.

In addition to this, don’t forget about our little shop Oaktique, which we’re busy stocking with fabulous Christmas gifts. What an ideal opportunity to shop for gifts whilst waiting for your meal!

Oak Leaf Knysna Restaurant - Garden Route
I couldn't be prouder being the Owner of the Oak Leaf Café in beautiful Belvidere Knysna. My sister Sandy (our Head Chef) and I have spent the last 2 years growing this business into a thriving destination restaurant on the Garden Route. I relocated to Knysna in 2015, bringing with me many years of experience in Cape Town in a highly creative online travel space. Both Sandy and I are "avid foodies" and once we joined forces in Knysna & followed our passion... magic happened! The result is Oak Leaf Café today!
